  13. Hi all..

  15. Pesky problem here..  I have a flock (of 6) USR Sportster
  16. USR 28.8 modems with the latest (4-18-95) ROM revision
  17. in them.  They will not reliably train above 19.2.
  18. If I make them train above that point, they hesitate horribly;
  19. they pause output/input for 30 seconds at a time..
  20. --And that is when they DO connect.. usually I get garbage 
  21. characters when a modem is dialed into them... the USR
  22. modems just don't train right... Any thougts?

  24. Combo that does work:
  25. SupraFAX 28.8 with AT&F2 and USR Sportster 28.8 with AT&F1
  26.                        (only at 19.2 and below)
  27.  
  28. Combos that do NOT work:
  29. Megahertz 28.8 PCMCIA with AT&Z and USR Sportster 28.8 with AT&F1
  30. Motorola 28.8 LifeSyle External with AT&Z and Sportster 28.8 AT&F
  31.  
  32. These sportsters are modems that are in a dial-in communications
  33. gateway.. they don't make any outgoing calls... only incomming...
