- Hi all..
-
- Pesky problem here.. I have a flock (of 6) USR Sportster
- USR 28.8 modems with the latest (4-18-95) ROM revision
- in them. They will not reliably train above 19.2.
- If I make them train above that point, they hesitate horribly;
- they pause output/input for 30 seconds at a time..
- --And that is when they DO connect.. usually I get garbage
- characters when a modem is dialed into them... the USR
- modems just don't train right... Any thougts?
-
- Combo that does work:
- SupraFAX 28.8 with AT&F2 and USR Sportster 28.8 with AT&F1
- (only at 19.2 and below)
-
- Combos that do NOT work:
- Megahertz 28.8 PCMCIA with AT&Z and USR Sportster 28.8 with AT&F1
- Motorola 28.8 LifeSyle External with AT&Z and Sportster 28.8 AT&F
-
- These sportsters are modems that are in a dial-in communications
- gateway.. they don't make any outgoing calls... only incomming...
